I need to know what papers I have to file with the court for a divorce with no children, proptory and we have already spilt up erevrything. On find legal forms . com there is a Texas Petition for Divorce is this all I need or will I have to get more forms later. I only want to do this once and want to get it wright the first time. We both agree to everything and just wont to be over only married a little over a year sep. for 2 months now. Found another web site that wants $45 for there divorce packet I just need to know what is required to file, what I need. Thank you

For a basic divorce you need the following:

Original Petition for Divorce

Waiver of Service

Agreed Final Decree of Divorce

I'd go to a Texas law library.

Or a bookstore -- PLEASE only look for books that state they use Texas Forms. Forms from another state will not work.

I've seen some real junk sold on the internet. I read one set of forms for $300 that I could not understand -- and I've been licensed over 13 years!

Also, the books at office supply stores do NOT work.
