Divorce Papers

My husband filed for a divorce on January 14th. How long does it take until I will be served with the papers in Harris County?

There is no specific answer to that question.

Your husband's attorney might have filed a "waiver" divorce and then there is no provision for service.

You can call the Harris County Family Service at 713-755-5758 and a clerk will tell you if the divorce has been filed.
