Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Getting divorce paperwork and deeds
I was divorced in Texas. The judge ordered my ex-husbands attorny to complete all paperwork and file same and to give me the deeds for property in Presidio Texas. At this time it has not been done. How can I force his attorney to comply with the orders?

Failure to comply with Court Order
Your ex husband and his attorney are in violation of a court order and can be held incontempt of court. Demand that the attorney comply or get your attorney to file a petitionfor contempt. The mere threat of such action willprobably solve the problem
Getting divorce paperwork and deeds
As I see it, you have three options:
1. Pester the other attorney to finish, either by yourself or through your attorney.
2. File a Motion for Enforcement that the paperwork be finished.
3. Hire an attorney to complete the process. Depending on the extent of the paperwork, this may be your most cost-efficient route.
In any event, don't wait. You could lose valuable legal rights if various records did not reflect the correct state of title to property.
