Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Divorce, Parental rights

I am trying to file my final decree, my husband was the original petitioner. I have no money to pay my attorney to finish so she has withdrawn. My husband has not paid child support in 2 years. He has been incarcerated for not paying child support has been out for 6 months and still has not paid anything. He also has not seen the children in over a year.

I have two questions: 1. Do I have to serve him with the final decree if he was the original petitioner? Can I request termination of his parental rights along with the final decree? If so how do I do this?

Re: Divorce, Parental rights

What county is the divorce filed in? That information would be helpful.

I doubt a TX court will terminate his rights at this time.

If you want to sit down with me and talk about your options, I charge $100 for an hour of my time.

Good luck!
