Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

divorce pro se

Do I have to submit a relief section in our divorce papers? What does it mean that relief is denied or granted and how do you know whether or not your relief will be granted? And how do you know whether or not the court will approve the papers?

This is why you need an attorney.

Very non-attorneys have the knowledge to adequately represent themselves in Court. A divorce may seem simple, but it's not. By deciding to represent yourself, you told the Court (and the other side) that you understand the law and are capable of representing yourself as well as a licensed attorney who spent a number of years going to school and who studied for and passed the Bar Exam.
