Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

divorce proceedings

Is my divorce attorney required to give me, his client, time to prepare for the mediation and final hearings? Mine called me this morning at 9:08 and told me the meeting was at 9:30 for the mediation and in the morning for the final hearing. I was snowballed allday by these three attorneys into an agreement I may regret.

Re: divorce proceedings

I can't think of any actual requirement, but it is certainly bad business. If you weren't prepared you could have told him to make it another day and to inform you in time.
