divorce and remarriage

I was married in houston texas and moved to lawton oklahoma where i got my divorce finalized and now want to remarry and need to know if instead of waiting 6 months by law inoklahome if i can go to texas and remarry for the man i am about to marry is being deployed? can i get married in another state even though i live in another?

Issues regarding marriage vary state to state.

Check Las Vegas, Nevada. I think you can get married there really quick.

I don't know about other states.

Check Louisiana laws too -- I think they are very quick but I'm not sure.

Texas law basically states that the divorce must have been finalized 30 days before remarriage.

I don't know what it says about non-residents marrying in Texas.You can call county office in Texas that handles marriage licenses to find out. There is a 3 day waiting period to marry after the license is issued.
