Re: divorce
You can get a divorce if you "don't Know" where he is, but he still has to receive notice of the lawsuit. So you have to pay to publish it in the newspaper and you have to pay for an attorney to represent his interest in court. Doesn't sound right does it? Check it out. Might be cheaper to try to find him.
Re: divorce
You need to do what is called a publication divorce. I can explain to you what needs to be done to obtain such a divorce. I am a board certified specialist in the field of family law practicing in the general Houston area. I would offer a free consultation to sit down and discuss the process and procedure for a publication divorce. If you are interested in visiting further about this matter please contact me directly.
Re: divorce
You can have him notified of the suit by "publication" meaning an announcement is printed in a local newspaper.
There are some limitations on what the court can do in these situations so it would be wise to retain a lawyer.
