what do I do if I do not know where my ''spouce'' is located we have not lived togther for almost 2 years and I want to file for divorce

You can get a divorce if you "don't Know" where he is, but he still has to receive notice of the lawsuit. So you have to pay to publish it in the newspaper and you have to pay for an attorney to represent his interest in court. Doesn't sound right does it? Check it out. Might be cheaper to try to find him.

You can have him notified of the suit by "publication" meaning an announcement is printed in a local newspaper.

There are some limitations on what the court can do in these situations so it would be wise to retain a lawyer.
