The answer to that question would wholly depend upon the facts of your case. Under Texas law the Court can order temporary spousal support during the pendency of a divorce and there is a statute for post divorce maintenance for a period of time if you met the qualifications and the Court made a provision for such. Additionally, the parties can agree to include provisions for contractual alimony for a period of time after the divorce. Absent an agreement for alimony, the Court can only order it post divorce if you meet the statuatory requirements set forth in the Texas Family Code.
