If it is stated in my decree that I can not move out of my city what can my ex-husband do if I do move away?

You can move, you just can't take the children with you. The Court can't say where you have to live, just where the children live.

Your ex can file an enforcement demanding the children remain within the designated geographic area and/or he can file a modification. Depending on why you are moving, the Court might say the children have to remain in the area but not change custody, give him custody, lift the geographic restriction, or let you take the children but modify the possession schedule and terms (you might have to pay for transportation). Courts usually don't like it when one parent makes it harder for the other parent to see the children.
