in texas when a bench trial has been set, does this mean the other party can't agree with the divorce settlement. What is a bench trial for a divorce in Texas? Do i need to be there?

A bench trial is a trial in front of the judge. It is NOT a jury trial.
You absolutely need to be there!!!!!
Otherwise, only the other party will testify and that person could tell lies and you won't be able to tell the Judge your side of the story.
If you don't have an attorney, you need one.
