Can I divorce a texas inmate for free

Maybe. If you are indigent and you qualify for free legal assistance.

Perhaps a pro bono organization will agree to help you. Then all filing fees are waived.

Look on the State Bar of Texas website for their list of pro bono groups.

You don't state where in Texas you live.

If it is agreed and there are no kids, then you can use the forms for free on www.texaslawhelp.org. You would have to pay filing fees of approx. $300.

If you live in Harris County and the divorce is agreed and there are no minor children, I charge $1,000 plus all filing fees. If there are minor children then I would charge $2,000 if there is no property. If there is property/debt then I charge $3,000.

Look on this website and on www.avvo.com for an attorney if the pro bono groups won't help you.
