can you have a mediator in a divorce proceeding if we both agree with each other, or do we have to file with an attorney?

You do not HAVE to use an attorney to file a divorce if everyone agrees.

If you agree on everything, you don't need to go to mediation. Mediation is done when there is not an agreement.

In Harris County, there are several forms that you need prepared if there are kids.

Beware of on-line kits, most are NOT done by TX attorneys and they DON'T work in TEXAS!

If the on-line kit uses words like "maritial estate" it is NOT a TX kit!
