Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I got a divorce in Texas after my divorce my ex moved to Ohio with my daughter. While up there my daughter left her mother and lived with a different family. This family went to court to get custody of my daughter. I was never involved in this hearing or signed any papers to give this family custody of my daughter. The state Ohio gave them full custody of my daughter without my involvement. Now these people won't let me see my daughter. I never signed my rights over or my custody so how can the state of Ohio give them full custody? I pay child support through Texas cause that's where my divorce took place. My visitation is also through Texas. Can these people keep me from my daughter when I never signed my rights or custody over?

You need to have an attorney as soon as possible who understands interstate jurisdictional issue. The answer is probably no, but there is always more information needed to make a good evaluation. There are somethings that can be done on an emergency basis, but it sounds more like they either are not telling you the truth or they did not tell the court the truth.

Either way, you need an attorney to help you with this.
