Divorce in texas

I was wondering what i have to do in order to file for divorce. I have the petition for divorce printed with what i could fill out. Do i have to go file that to get a court date and a case number? What do i do after that. I have been away from him for 13 years the 22nd of march. I would like to know the answer..
