Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Divorce - Visitation

Is there an enactment in the Family Code saying that if a spouse relocates with the children more than 100 miles away, that spouse must drop off and pick up the children each visitation? Also, does the relocating spouse have to give notice to the other spouse ?

Drop off and pickup after the primary conservator moves away from the other conservator depends on what an individual Order or Decree says. Some order the moving party to be responsible for drop off and pick up, some don't.

Normally, each conservator is to notify the other conservator and the Court of any change in contact information.

Some Orders and Decrees also have residency restrictions that prevent the children from being moved outside a certain area.
