After 31 years my wife and I are contemplating divorce. She received an inheritance 5 years ago in stock that is in her name alone and an annuity that she is the named owner. In a settlement am I entitled to half of the value of each?

Provided the inherited property has not been commingled with community assets, then it is her separate property. You will not be entitled to half of the property. Is the annuity inherited, or generated during the marriage with community effort?
