Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Am I truly divorced
This is the way my divorce reads on the last page.
12. Clarifying Orders
without affecting the finality of this final Decree of Divorce, this court expressly reserves the right to make orders necessart to clarify and enforce this decree.
13. Relief not granted.
It is ordered and decreed that all relief requested in this case and not expressly granted is denied.
14. Date of judgement.

Re: Am I truly divorced
You are divorced. (didn't you have an attorney?)That is boilerplate language in most decrees that, in a nutshell, enables a court to maintain jurisdiction so it can fix (clarify) a provision that is unclear, and establishes once and for all that the decree means what it says, and nothing more.
