Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
If you have been divorced since 2010 and ex husband is not following the decree and you want to file for a motion of contempt do you have to file in the county of divorce or can u do this in another county. I am disabled and at one time he got fired but he got another job and in decree he was ordered to keep up property and sell it and he took it off market and leased it and has not paid me a dime for 8 months now and he just recently leased it so he could move in with his girlfriend. He has a very good attorney in his county and I did not and can not afford due to financial reasons. He has really put me in a bind as im not eligible for many programs due to my name being on house.

If there is a court of continuing jurisdiction (and there will be if there are minor children) you must file in that court.
If there is no court of continuing jurisdiction, then you must sue your ex in the county where he lives.
