Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
getting divorced, i am in the military
Ok, my court date is on 9 july 2007, i am currently deployed, it is a notice of hearing for temporary orders, what happens if i do not show up. it also states that this court date is going to order me to pay interim attorney's fees and anticipated costs, does that mean my wife wants me to pay for her attorney and everything?

You need to get in contact with your JAG office. Under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) {formerly Sailor and Soliders Civil Relief Act [SSCRA]}, you should be able to get a stay on the proceedings. Your JAG office/officer will have a standard form letter that your Commanding Officer or Officer in Charge will sign and then submit to the court.

You should do what Mr. Brashear suggests. Don't simply do nothing.
