Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Divorced overseas, what do i do here.
My friend is from japan and was married in texas. She was divorced in japan several years ago and needs to know if there is anything she has to do to make the divorce legal in the USA.

There is nothing she needs to do unless the validity of her Japanese divorce somehow is called into question by some authority. I cannot imagine how that would happen, but it would be a good idea for her to have a certified copy of her Japanese Decree together with an English translation of it just in case.
It would be a real hassle to have to obtain one later when it is needed, as it could take some time to acquire.
