Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

when i divorced i signed a release of lien for the house to my husband, but i stipulated in the decree that if he sells the house, i would be awarded one-half of any profit.

the decree states:

7. Any and all interest in the property situated at #### Street, City, County, Texas, with the indebtedness thereon. At such time as "husband" sells the property, "wife" will be awarded on-half of any profit.

"Husband" will have the exclusive right to reside at XXXX streat, City, County, Texas, until such time as the residence is sold.

he says that the decree is not valid because i signed the release of lien.....

I would appreciate any assistance. Thank you.

The decree will probably control the situation.

You should consult with a local family law attorney regarding your options.

Good Luck!
