Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

divorced almost two years. Only child support is for recently turned 15yr. old daughter, whose Dad moved to Florida due to a much deserved promotion and because our daughter will and is going through the drivers learning stage I wanted to know if I would be able to get an increase in child support..car, auto insurance etc...?

You can ask the court to modify the child support, but you will need to prove that there has been a material and substantial change in circumstances. In other words, that he makes a lot more money than before. Remember, however, that he might counterclaim and ask that the court REDUCE his child support due to the extra expenses that he must now pay in order to see his daughter.

You can ask for child support above the state guidelines, but you will need to prove the actual needs of the child. It is my experience that you will need to show that there are unusual expenses that most parents don't have. I'm not sure that driver's ed would qualify.
