Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I've been divorced for over 10 years now and just recently found out that the states (Texas) records show me in arrears from the first few months of the divorce. Upon learning this I contacted my ex and asked if she would submit an affidavit of direct payment to state that I had paid her directly at that time. She did this but when she learned that she had to pay back money intercepted from my last years tax return she filed another affidavit stating that I did not paid her directly. This doesn't seem right to me and I was hoping you could offer some advice.

Your remedy is to file a "Motion to Reduce Child Support Arrearage Amount to a Judgment." File it, serve Mom, and serve the AG. Take your evidence into Court, do the calculation (your lawyer does this), and get the Judge to make a finding of the arrearage amount.
