Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I've been divorced for 3 years, but have not been able to sell the house that my ex and I purchased together. We are both listed on the deed. Earlier this year my ex lost her job and I agreed to let her move back in on a temp basis because she had nothing/no place to go.

Now I'm stuck, living with my ex...paying all the bills. It's hell.

How can I get out of this situation? Is there an legal actions I can take?

One option is to evict her through the justice court. She is a tenant at will. You'd file a forcible entry and detainer; the JP folks can help you with this.

However, the informal approach may work better. Start bringing home boxes. Tell her you'll help her move. Start helping her look for an apartment. Start helping her find a job. Contact her relatives and see if any of them will take her in.

You could even stop buying groceries.

Find a large, ugly friend who is unpleasant, and move HIM into the house. Make sure he watches TV late at night. Make her want to move out.

Of course, if you're successful, then you have to get rid of HIM.
