Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have been divorced for many, many years. I have twin boys from the marriage, one of whom has cerebal palsy. Both boys will be 21 this year. I have paid child support since the divorce, when the boys were very young.

According to our divorce decree I was supposed to pay child support until the boys reached the age of 18 and graduated from high school. Because my ex-wife has moved every year or so, the boys just graduated from high school a few months ago. So, I have continued to pay the child support.

Both boys still live with my ex-wife, but NO ONE in the household works, this includes my ex-wife and our other son, who is perfectly healthy and capable of working. My ex-wife gets disablilty benefits for my son who is disabled and recently asked me to write a letter stating that she was no longer receiving child support so that she could get more money from the government. I told her I wouldn't do that.

So, here's my question...

Now that the boys are over the age of 18, have graduated from high school and my disabled son received benefits from the government, am I still obligated to pay child any support?

Thanks for your help.

You should take a close look at what the order says. Usually, the language requires the payment of child support until the younger child turns 18 or finishes high school, whichever event occurs last.
