My husband and I have been married for 26 years this Nov. 22nd.We have 1 child left @ home who is 16.my husbands grandmother passed in Aug. and she left him 10,000 but her estate is going through probate right now.We have not gotten along to say the least in months and we are headed toward at the very least a separation if something doesnt give pretty soon.Family issues, kids, problems pressure of everyday life,it's just one thing after another no adultry or anything. My question is do I have any right to any part of his 10,000 since we have been married so long?? I know he will pay child support but I only work 30 hours a week which might have to change. What do you think??

You may qualify for alimony since you've been married over 10 years.

Alimony or spousal support can only last a maximumof 3 years in Texas.
