Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Document age mistake
My husband filed for an uncontested divorce. I received the papers with what I consider a few discrepancies. The first was our ages. In the papers it list both he and I as 36. Neither of us are.
It also states title, vehicles, etc. etc. will become property of each owner.
I can not find the title to my car and think it is in his home. I have all keys and have the car at a seperate residence. I worry that he may find the title and sign it over to himself.
I would like to see the document list each car be listed by license number and to read that (my name) will receive the title to (my car specific) and (his name) will receive the title to (his car specific).
Is this totally unnecessary?!
And is the age thing such a big deal?
I was always taught a legal document must be correct and he is being told it will be changed for court and this is no big deal. I want proof before it gets filed.

Re: Document age mistake
The age thing is not a great big deal, but the vehicle titles could be. If you would like me to help with your legal matter, please e-mail [email protected]
