Child support is a percentage of your net income (after taxes) depending on the number of children you have.

You can look on the Office of the Texas Attorney General's website for information on child support in Texas.

The TX A G has a chart that they prepare each year that the judges and family law attorneys use to determine child support. It starts with gross monthly income and determines what a person's net monthly income is.

Child support is also determined by how many children a person supports. For example, if a woman supports 5 children total but only 2 are before THIS court, then she gets to reduce the percentage (%) of the child support for these 2 children.

The TX A G website should help explain all of this.

Good luck!
