Domestic partnership agreement

my parner and i are purchasing a home together 50/50 on a down payment but only he can be named on the mortgage as i am in the us on a working visa. can we have a domestic partnership agreement drawn up to state that although i'm not named on the loan..i accept responsibility to pay half of the payments etc. and state what assets we consider shared and what are seperate? does this still count even though i am british?

We don't do domestic partnership agreements in Texas, but you and your partner can enter into a contract that can accomplish the same thing. Good luck.
