Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My doughter has been staying with a friend for almost three years, she has a letter signed by me to give her permission to get her in school and take her to doctors but nothing about custody. She was supposed to keep in touch with me reguarding my doughter when i moved to midland my doughter wanted to stay with them, but now she has not called me in over a year i have no way to contact my doughter and i need to know what i need to do to go get my daughter legaly

Send a certified letter to your friend that withdraws the previous letter. Ask them to contact you to make arrangements to deliver your daughter to you. If they do not respond, contact a local family law attorney.
