Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I was drunk and someone I know, an acquaintance, comes to my house and has sex with me when I was not in a condition to make such a choice to have sex with them. Can I get a restraining order against him? We live in the same area of town and therefore we will pass each other in our community. I do not want to be around someone who has violated me nor someone who took advantage of me.

You need to meet with an attorney in person to discuss the details of your case. I assume that you did not file any criminal charges against this person. Judges do not issue restraining orders without proof that they are needed since they are so powerful and they are public documents.

I hope this info has been somewhat helpful. You do not include the county of where you live so I cannot refer you to anyone. Look on this website and on www.avvo.com for an attorney.

I'm sorry that you are going through this.
