Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

education decision middle school

my ex and I have joint custody of a 10 year old who will start middle school next year.Do If we don't agree on the middle school can he take me to court to have the court make a decision on the school?

It the school zoned for where the parent with the right to determine primary residence is located, unless agreed otherwise.
