Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Elder Abuse

My father has dementia and my mother is the caregiver..dad has gotten worse and my mother when she is stressed often verbally abuses him...she has power of attorney..is there anything I can do as an only child that can prevent these things from happening..she is well able to get caregiving financially but says it will break her yet I can see she is mentally disintegrating...I am desperate for any answers that might help alleviate this situation
