emancipation for my daughter

if my daughter (age 17) lives in iowa (with my permission) and i still reside in tx, is it impossible for her to get emancipated (if i give her permission) living this far from me?

Based on the limited information you provided, I can't answer your question.

Emancipating (removal of disabilities in Texas) takes awhile. If she's is going to turn 18 in less than 6 months, I would not waste your time and money trying to do an emancipating.

Does Texas have jurisdiction? I can't answer that. Is there a court of continuing jurisdiction over her - such as from your divorce?

The only kids I see get emancipated in Houston are those that are athletes or musicians so that they can sign a contract and be bound by it after they turn 18.
