Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Emancipation of a parent

I need to know how to go about ''divorcing'' or ''disowning'' my mother. I'm 21, and after so many different issues I have decided that I want her out of my life. I want no legal bindings to her whatsoever. How do I go about that, and about how much will it cost? I just need to know where to go and who to talk to about it.

You are an adult. Cut the apron strings if that is what you want, but if your mom has already co-signed for you or guaranteed something for you, you will need for refinance or find a new guarantor to be rid of her.

You don't have to do anything. You are an adult. Pack up and go. Unless you have signed contracts together with her, you are not legally tied to her.
