Enforcement of Court Order
The juvenile court order for my grandson who is on 3 years criminal probation, states that
visitation with his father (ex-husband of my daughter) must be supervised. My grandson lives with me and I am listed on the court order as his guardian. My question is: who is the enforcer of the court order that visitation must be supervised? The answer is easy if the father contacts me to visit with his son on a certain date. Arrangements would be made for them to visit at a local supervised visitation facility. But the father has never initiated such a request. The father calls my grandson on his cell phone [calls are to be supervised] and without my knowledge arranges a place to pick up the son. I don�t know if the court sent copy of the court order to the father. I can�t control the father�s manipulation to get around the court order. The father has a known major significant negative impact on the boy and both family and criminal courts know this, therefore for the �supervised� visitation. If the grandson violates any part of his court ordered probation he faces consequences and rightfully so. However, the father is getting around the court ordered requirement of supervised visitation and facing no consequences and influences the boy

I'd change the kid's phone number. If he gives his dad his new phone number, I'd take the phone away from him.
I would never allow a child to manipulate me. Quit letting him control you! Take away his privileges or ground him or whatever, to show him who is in charge.
As a last resort, tell him probation officer.
If this child is not in counseling, he probably should be.
You can mail a copy of the court order to the father, but I doubt that will stop him.
