Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Escorted flight

My ex-wife lives in Florida with my son 14 year old . I have purchased a non-stop plane tickets with the nearest airline that has non-equipment flights. The divorce decree says that he has to fly non-equipment. that only time that the decree mentions an escort is when it says that I am to ''pay for the flight(including escort fees)''. She is nor refusing to send him since I did not pay for an escort. the only airlines that I my son can fly on dos not do escorts after age 12. Is thete a law in TX (wher divorce was filed) that says thet the child has to have an escort?

Re: Escorted flight

I am unaware of any law specifying an age at which a child may fly alone. I would imagine that by the age of 14, your son is quite capable of flying alone in a safe manner.

If your wife still refuses to allow your son to fly, you should contact an attorney in order to enforce your time of possession.
