Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Escorted service

My ex-wife has moved to FL with my 14 yo son. The divorce decree says that I am to pay for ''the plane ticket (including escort fees)''. The decree also specifically says that my son is to fly on a non-equipment change flight. The airpoer in the town that she lives in does not have any airlines that offer non-equipment change flights. There is only one airline at the next closer airport that has non-equipment change flights. The airline also will not do escorts after age 12. I have purchased a non-stop flight for my son to come to see me for the summer. His mother is now refusing to take him to the airport because he does not have an escort. Is there a law in TX that says what age that the child does not require an escort?

Re: Escorted service

No. You will probably have to ask for a modification or a clarification. Unfortunately, you will probably have to do this in FL. Better hire an attorney there. Might need a TRO to prevent her from interfering with visitation.
