Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Establishing Paternity
I am pregnant and not married. What document does the biological father need to sign that will legally bind him to support the child so that we do not have to do paternity testing at a later date which will be recognized by the Texas Attorney General office and the State of Texas?

Re: Establishing Paternity
You still need to bring a suit to establish paternity and set child support and vistation. If the child's father will stipulate to paternity, then no test will be available. If he will agree to the other terms, then you should be done fairly quickly. The final order will then bind the attorney general.
