Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

How can I go after the estate for 10 years of back child support

My ex-husband never paid child support in 10 years. He past away, I now find out that social security benefits will be paid to my 2 children, his child from his second wife & her son from a previous marriage. My children are owed 79,000.00 in back child support. What can I do?

If he had any assets in his estate, you might be able to make a claim against the estate for the amount of child support. This might be dependent upon the language of your divorce decree. You really have an uphill battle here unless there are some valuable assets in your husband's estate. But, this sounds interesting. If you want, call me at 1-877-320-5232
