Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

eviction

My nephew's wife left him and they resided in my home--she wants to come back and get her stuff--we gave her some personal items but the rest is community property but the police said that she could come into my home and get whatever she wanted--the police could do nothing for me---I am the legal owner she planned for over two weeks to leave and never informed us until the day she left 5-25-08 --this is the 3rd time she has left and the final--how do I keep her off my property --she will also not give us an address to send her any legal papers--need advice--

Re: eviction

Your nephew needs to hire a lawyer to file for divorce. This are issues that need to be decided by a District Judge, not the local police. Once the petition is filed, there is a standing order that prevents disposing of property until a hearing.
