Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My ex-girlfriend, and mother of my 6 y/o son, left me and had a child with another man. The man that she had the child with left and has not been around even before the child was born so the child bares her mothers last name. When the child was aroud 1 y/o I started letting her into my life and now at 4 y/o im the only father shes ever known. A year ago I started paying child support when they moved to conroe tx, but before then i was doing for her just as i did my son, buying her clothes, shoes, groceries ect. The child support is not court ordered but her mother threatedned me that i would no longer be able to see her unless i payed her 200 $ a month so i have been paying with a check sent to her by the 3rd of each month.
The child support for my son is court ordered and visitation the whole nine yards. but im just frustrated that she holds my daughter over my head with threats of her jerking her from me unless i play by her rules.
My question is do i have any rights over this little girl or do i just have to play by her mothers rules so i get to see her?

You have no rights to her. None. It would be worth your effort to meet with an attorney to see if you could acquire some rights, possibly with the ccoperation of child's father, and your ex-girlfriend. If they were willing to cooperate with an adoption, or a possessory conservatorship, you might have some options.
