Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex-husband bought a brand new house for himself for $235K one week after our divorce. Later I found out that he has been closing this deal during the final month of our divorce, but he never mentioned it. If he had disclosed the fact that he was in the middle of a major real-estate transaction, I would have never agreed to some of the terms of our divorce, which was settled at mediation in Texas. Now I feel that I have been grossly defrauded during our divorce. What could be my remedies?

The answer is -- it depends.

I would talk to the attorney that helped you with your divorce.

If he did not reveal his assets, then you have a case.

Just not disclosing that he was hoping to buy a new house is NOT enough.

Good luck! Happy Holidays!
