Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

If my ex-husband cheated and got an outside child in the marriage in the state of Texas, do I, who is no longer married to him have to pay child support for his child? He's in jail and his girlfriend is trying to collect child support from me for their child.

If it is not your biological child then you don't pay child suoport.

It sounds like this woman is the mother of this child.

But since the child was born during your marriage the mother wants YOU to pay her child support.

It sounds like she is just threatening you.

If she demands then you pay child support, ask for DNA test to prove you are not the mother of this child.

Quite frankly this never happens to women since it is pretty obvious who the mother is!

Good luck!
