Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
If my ex-husband has never taken the kids for the month of July (5 yrs) can he just take them now if that is what our divorce papers read, and how would i go about changing them.

Yes he can.
To change them, you would file a Petition to Modify the Parent-Child Relationship. Reducing a parents visitation rights can be tricky, so you should hire a local family law attorney to help you achieve your goals.
If you think there is an immediate risk of serious harm to your children if he takes them, you can ask the court for an emergency order denying or limiting the visit.
