Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

my exhusband left me 3 years ago, he is retired on social security,question is, can I get him to pay alimony out of his social security check? we are still legally married, but my social security disability is more than what I would get by taking his spousal benefit?

There is no alimony in Texas, but in certain cases the court can order spousal support for a limited period of time. Your question is confusing, since you state he is your exhusband, but that you are still legally married.
