Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex-husband was ordered to pay child support for our daughter. In having the amount of child support he would pay set the judge asked him if she was covered by him for insurance. Which she was at the time and he was paying $140 per month for her insurance. The judge deducted the $140 from the total of $463 leaving a balance of $323 a month for child support. That was ok with both parties, however since then he has quit that job and worked several jobs and she has not had any insurance for over a year now. I want to know if I am intitled to that $140 that he was paying for insurance. If so, what are my options and what should I do?

You need to modify the current orders.

If you don't have any money, then go to the TX A G office and file for contempt and insurance.

If you can qualify, you might be able to get CHIP insurance on the kid and TX A G will make Dad repay the taxpayers of Texas for having the kid on chip.

Good luck!
