Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex-husband is paying minimal child support for our son. He is paying $300/mo (when he pays) which is in the divorce decree. He is now making much more money now than we got divorced. I don't have access to his paychecks or taxes. He is a contract oil field pumper and his wages are not being garnished. He did tell a family member that he paid over $30,000 in taxes in 2009. Is there any way that 1. that I can ensure he pays me on a regular monthly basis? 2. How do I gain his paycheck information in hopes that he will be required to pay more child support?

In certain circumstances, you may petition the court to modify child support. During that process, you will request discovery to include, among other things, his most recent paycheck stubs and past tax information.

The only way to ensure regular monthly payments is to have the Court sign a withholding order and then serve that upon his employer, who will then take out his child support obligation and forward that to you each month.
